Ezequiel J. Molina, MD is the surgical director of the LVAD and Heart Transplant Program at the Piedmont Heart Institute. Dr. Molina presently leads one of the highest volume LVAD programs in the U.S. This extensive LVAD experience has led to several key scientific publications within the field and he has been an Investigator on many pivotal LVAD trials.  He has paved the way in understanding the impact of left ventricular size and LVAD support optimization. Dr. Molina is a member of the STS-Intermacs Database Task Force, the largest durable LVAD registry in the world, and was lead author of the 2021 annual Intermacs report.
