Dr. Rebecca Cogswell is the Section Head of the Advanced Heart Failure Program at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Cogswell’s research has contributed widely to the field, from sarcopenia assessment in patients being considered for LVAD/heart transplant to the impact of donor hemodynamics and recipient acuity. Her most recent studies focus on sex- and race-based disparities in transplant.  In 2023, Dr. Cogswell was a coauthor on the 2023 HFSA expert consensus statement on MCS and the 2023 ISHLT MCS guidelines.  She presently also serves as the director of the ISHLT transplant registry.
